A downloadable game for Windows

Death is not the end!

Do you have unfinished business in the mortal world? Never worry, the Spectral Express is here for you! Name your destination, and we will take you wherever it is, for a small fee.

Controls:

The panel on the right side has buttons for you! Here's what they do:

UP and DOWN (above and under the lever) manipulate the train speed. you can also do this with the UP and DOWN keys.

LEFT and RIGHT under the dial manipulate the direction of the train. You can see the changes in the predictive path! You can also do this with the LEFT and RIGHT keys.

The map icon brings up the overworld map. You can also bring it up with the M key.

Click on the coal or the furnace to feed the fire! You can also do this with the SPACE key.

Stop on a platform by a town in order to enter it. There you will be able to take on passengers and visit the shop to restock on water and coal.

The game is a work in progress!

There are many features we weren't able to implement in these short three days. As of now there is no end state; you will cruise delivering restless spirits to their destinations until you run out of water or coal.

Thank you for playing!

Known Bugs:

At this time, every stop at a station resets your money to the starting amount, before adding however much your delivered passengers pay you. Unfortunately, this makes it impossible to save up, however there's not much to spend your hard earned money on except coal and water anyway, so not a huge issue.

Sometimes the train or its attached cars mess up and begin flying off in random directions. I have not been able to reliably reproduce this, so take it as the 3 day project jank charm that it is!

my train split into two, and i lost my throttle lever and the train fell off the map d; the art is neat

Oh wow, that's a new one i've never seen after so much time, hahaha. I'd love to know what triggered it.

We are currently working on a full version of this game remade from scratch that thankfully is more stable, though :)
